The Gastown Strutters is a high-energy Dixieland band that brings the vibrant New Orleans sound of traditional jazz to life. With infectious rhythms, spirited solos, and a fun-loving stage presence, they’re perfect for weddings, festivals, 2nd line parades, and corporate events. The Gastown Strutters Dixieland Band blends charm and talent to create a vibrant atmosphere that gets everyone smiling, dancing, and swinging along. They truly capture the spirit and energy of New Orleans in the 1920s with the music of Louis Armstrong, King Oliver, Fats Waller, Scott Joplin, Bix Beiderbecke, Jelly Roll Morton and many more.

The Gastown Strutters consists of trumpet, clarinet, trombone, banjo, acoustic bass and drums. For smaller events and budgets, this jazz combo can also work as a trio or quartet. This Hot Jazz ensemble has performed for the Royal Vancouver Yacht Club, Meadowridge School,  A&W Restaurants, Safeway, SFU Open House, Assn for Mineral Explorations and many other private events. The Strutters have also played on Canada Day at the Richmond Salmon Festival and outdoor performances for both Cambie Village and South Granville BIAs.  The Gastoown Strutters Dixieland Band is a dynamic addition to any event seeking a vintage vibe with vibrant energy.
